Indian Way!

Hace mil que no escribooo, estoy a full con fin de anio, el laburo, la tesiss las fiestas..complicado para un post!!

Voy a contarles un poco un par de cosas divertidas de vivir en India!

Indian Way!

Hinglish: aca muchas veces que se habla ingles se mecha con el Hindi, se traduce literal o se inventan palabras…conformando el Hinglish! Les dejo algunos ejemplos:

Confor-table: están re seguros de que la pronunciación es CONFORT+TABLE (mesa!) confortaivel

Pre-pone: como existe “Postpone” ellos inventaron el “Pre-pone” para adelantar las cosas

Itself: acá todo va seguido de un itself
-          The pen itself is blue    ¿?? WTF… no need!!

“as in”: lo meten en cualquier lado…

Ayer o mañana?! : En Hindi “CAL “ quiere decir AYER YYYYYY MANIANAA!! (no muy conveniente no?)

Only: también le meten el “only” en cualquier lado, parece ser que es una palabra que usan en Hindi y que cuando hablan en Ingles la meten como empresion

A todo esto les cuento que no puedo dejar de decir "only". Empezo como un chiste...pero creo que me va a quemar de por vida...

Hábitos

Cumpleaños: cuando hay uno los amigos organizan caerle a la casa al agasajado a las 00:00 del día de su aniversario. Sea martes 00:00 religiosamente los amigos lo hacen, y el cumpleañero finge que se sorprendeJ Además le revientan la torta en la cara….en todos los cumpleaños ¡!

Siempre que hay algún acontecimiento se celebra con torta y se corta el primer pedacito- chicoo-de la torta, el más “dueño” (como el que se va de la empresa, o el jefe o lo que sea), da un primer mordisquito y se lo da a los más cercanos. Entre mordisquito y mordisquito del pedacito se lo comen y es como un momento de compartir :)

Como les conte a lo largo de Blog aca por ser blanca sos una celebrity! Hice un compilado de mensajes que me llegaron al FB de “fans” desconocidos (y un mensaje que le llego a Rebecca). Preparense!
